The Tiger (2005 film)

The Tiger is a 2005 Malayalam thriller film. Directed by Shaji Kailas and starring Suresh Gopi, Siddique, Saikumar and Rajan P. Dev in the lead roles, this film hugely got positive response at box office. The movie was the 4th biggest grosser of that year after Rajamanikyam, Bharathchandran I.P.S. and Naran.

This film came after a couple of flops from Shaji Kailas. There were much anticipation among movie goers as it was after a long time Shaji Kailas was joining back with Suresh Gopi. Suresh Gopi, who was almost out of limelight for a couple of year had just then made a massive come back with Bharathchandran I.P.S.. This film was well received by critics and audience, and was appreciated for its fast camera movements and technical aspects. This film also played a big role in the change of story telling in Malayalam cinema and well received at box officeThis was second film by B. Unnikrishnan for Shaji Kailas. They had earlier joined for Shivam, starring Biju Menon in 2002, which was just an average hit. The camera was done by Shadutt and editing by Don Max, a newcomer. Senior Congress leader Raj Mohan Unnithan made his debut in acting as chief minister in this film. The performance of Siddique was highly appreciated. This film also marked a come back for Shaji Kailas, who within a few months brought out Chinthamani Kolacase, another mega hit movie with Suresh Gopi. ........
